Born in Belfast, raised in Scotland and living in Wexford, Robin James Hurt’s talents as
a guitarist, singer and composer have brought him on a rich and varied path.

As well as releasing albums and having music featured on soundtracks, Robin is a hugely popular live performer, mixing traditional Celtic and original music with firecracker energy and flare, notching up several hundred shows a year from festivals (Glastonbury, Electric Picnic) to concert venues to intimate pub sessions.

Robin James Hurt was one of the first Irish artists to embrace livestreaming as a way of reaching his fanbase when lockdown hit last March. His weekly “Live from Kilmichael” livestreams on Facebook and YouTube, broadcast from his fireside, quickly attracted a following of thousands from all corners of the globe.
